The Performance Reporting Framework
The performance reporting framework for the current CDS builds on the increasing expectation that individual agencies have greater accountability for managing their functional areas.
Central to this approach is the delineation and identification of key government functions. This will improve organisations' capacity to focus on their core business activities, their performance and their accountabilities.
The central elements of the Strategy are:
- the identification of the core roles of government (policy adviser, regulator, purchaser, provider and employer);
- for each role, the specification of the outcomes to be achieved for people with disability;
- the specification of performance indicators which address the barriers that have been identified by people with disability; and
- where possible, the integration of performance reporting into already established reporting mechanisms.
