A Better Future for Indigenous Australians - continuation of the Cape York Digital Network
What's New?
The Government will provide $2.2 million over four years to continue the operation by the Cape York Digital Network (CYDN) of six community online access centres in remote communities in Cape York.The Online Access Centres are located in Hopevale, Napranum, Umagico, Coen, Injinoo and Lockhart River. These centres will provide benefits to individuals in these remote community including:
- Increased access to commercial and government services provided online;
- Increased technology awareness and IT skills in communities;
- Direct employment of community staff; and
- Increased opportunities for economic development and participation.
