Tharawal service provides a range of early intervention and prevention activities. This includes a parenting program, school breakfast club and a playgroup.

This service provides a men's group to strengthen parental roles and responsibility. They hold an Aboriginal Grandparents & Kinship Care Support group which supports the role of primary caregivers within family and community. They run a playgroup and provide a range of parenting support services to children and families.

This service provides early intervention and prevention family support through home visits and case management. Family gathering are held which cover knowledge and skills in parenting. Programs on healthy relationships are run through the Women's Business Workshops and Respectful Relationships programs for school students. The Men's Business Workshop explores the important role of men within families and a parenting program is held for mums.

Koti Bula Umullan Project
The Newcastle Family Support Service (NFSS) provides family work and counselling services from the community centre or house calls. They offer a supported playgroup during school term to children aged 0-5. To develop more culturally appropriate programs and activities NFSS develop partnerships with local indigenous agencies.

Aboriginal Family Wellbeing Project
Gurelgham Aboriginal Corporation runs a Positive Parenting Program. In addition to the parenting program they provide families with a series of workshops that builds family wellbeing. The Family Court Partnership works with families to assist them with issues so to prevent them entering the court system. This service also provides a number of community activities, which fosters whole family participation and exposure to services.

Tangentyere provide parenting advice and support, counselling and family care services to indigenous children and families. This service assists in joint case management with service providers in Alice Springs. They run a referrals service to support families where intervention strategies have been unsuccessful.

CAAPS provide a holistic approach to early intervention and prevention services. Education sessions are run on substance misuse and the effects on family and community. Education on the Kinship system covers traditional parenting roles and responsibilities. To strengthen culture, kinship and develop relationships the children with their families are involved in story telling, music, campfires, cooking, art, craft and gardening activities.

Galiwinku provide a holistic approach to early intervention and prevention services. They run 'shattered lives' workshops that focus on family relationships. Assistance with mediation on family disputes and offer parental support is provided. This service offers training for staff and community members in child abuse prevention and protection. Through education on family responsibility for their children the service hopes to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Helping our Kids
Twice a week a playgroup is held for children and parents. The service offers education sessions to support families. Large community events are organised to promote their services and engage families with other support services in the area.

Kummara Association provides case management for families. They run a parent group, playgroup and family activities to build family stability. Advocacy, information and referrals are provided to assist families with issues. As part of the child care program, at Koolyangarra Early Learning Centre, they offer family support to increase parental confidence. This service is also involved in a number of community cultural strengthening projects.

Yab-a-gar
The Murri and Torres Strait Islander Network run a variety of early intervention and prevention services including; an early literacy program for young children and parents, healthy cooking sessions, a women's group, and a homework program. The service also runs family days, which provide opportunities for social support, positive family interaction and promotion of support services. To strengthen family relationships this service runs mother & daughter self esteem workshops, and uncle, nephews and father son days.

Aboriginal Family Support Services (AFSS) run a series of early intervention and prevention activities including; parenting program, playtime (parents & children) program, homemaker program, baby bonding program, and a family referral and advocacy service. This service represents SA Aboriginal community issues relating to the care & wellbeing of children on a State and Federal level. AFSS are building and maintaining networks and partnerships to strengthen service delivery in their area.

Family Mentor Project
Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (ADAC) provides family support through home visits, individual assistance. They facilitate access to parenting programs. ADAC run a grandparents group 'We are family'. A number of community building events are also held to support families and build on cultural community strength. This service is involved in a number of steering committees and partnerships that assist in service delivery.

Karpandi runs an Indigenous parenting support service for women and children in crisis. Their elders program assists in strengthening culture and provides cross cultural generational support. The Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) runs two playgroups. The playgroup in Hobart runs ADHD and Fathers support groups. The playgroups in Launceston also runs parent information sessions, offers intensive family support and provides school holiday outings. TAC also provides referrals to children and family support programs.

Northern District Community Health Service provides a weekly supported Indigenous playgroup. The playgroup incorporates early intervention and prevention initiatives including developing family parenting and communication skills, providing cross-generational support through elders, assisting children and carers in accessing mainstream services and events, and home visits to support families with transition to preschool.

Searching Mildura Aboriginal Corporation conducts a program called 'Searching'. The program is a culturally appropriate self esteem and assertiveness program for vulnerable Indigenous parents and young people. The program aims to enhance life and parenting skills. It also assists participants to engage in and access appropriate community activities and resources.

Rumbalara provides a weekly facilitated parenting support groups. The group works with women to increase parenting skills. Individual casework is provided to support young mums; this also includes both pre and postnatal support.

Quantum facilitates a weekly group for Indigenous parents, grandparents and kinship carers to assist with increasing parenting skills, life skills and health and wellbeing. They also run a teenage pregnancy prevention and education program.

VACCA provides four weekly supported playgroups in Melbourne and one in Swan Hill. The playgroups incorporate culturally appropriate activities; provide pre-school skill development and parenting and communication skill development. Playgroups workers provide outreach support services to families. VACCA works with other agencies to promote, support and develop understanding of within mainstream organisations of working with Indigenous people. VACCA also works within Indigenous organisations to develop and enhance understanding of how communities can be child safe and friendly.

This service provides a supported playgroup and referrals for families and children. Family activities are held to foster cross-generational support and to strengthen culture. They hold interagency meetings to build partnerships with agencies to add value to their Indigenous Children Programme service.

The Pat Giles Centre runs a playgroup for Indigenous families in the Wanneroo and Joondalup region. The play groups received support through the Coorrt Coolong program. The Coorrt Coolong program is an aboriginal early support services for families with children aged 0-3.

Djooraminda provides outreach services and support for children and families. They run the Gurlongga Art and Play therapy program, which is used to support and assist children's behaviour issues, particularly those with grief and loss issues. A children's cultural camp is run to strengthen and build cultural ties.

Wiluna Parenting and Early Childhood Development Project
This service provides a number of workshops to assist families, including a traditional parenting workshops run by Elders. Parenting and early childhood training is also provided. Playgroups are held with the involvement of the elders and young families. Interagency meetings are held with key stakeholders to assist in better coordinated and targeted services for children and families in the Wiluna area.
