Issue 54 | 21 November 2005
Once FaCS receives the audit report from the certification body, we will process the reimbursement of your audit costs. Procedure 18, Issue No. 2 (17 November 2004), states in 3.4.1, ‘The certification body’s reporting procedures shall at least ensure that: b) the written report is provided [to the disability employment service] within 10 working days of the completion of the audit for a single site disability employment service (20 working days for a multi-site disability employment service)’. The certification body must then send a final copy of the report to FaCS within 10 working days of making the decision to grant or renew certification.
FaCS recommends that organisations should contact their certification body if their reports are outside of these timeframes, and if reimbursement of audit costs has not been received from FaCS within a reasonable timeframe.

A national marketing and advertising campaign will be run to promote and publicise BizAbility and to encourage potential customers to support business services and employees with disabilities by finding out about the broad range of products and services on offer.
It is important that all business services have access to the administration area of the website to ensure accuracy and to update your organisation and/or business details. We strongly urge you to log-on to the administration area and check your details. For anyone who has not yet completed a user access form, please do so and return as soon as possible. If you need another copy of the form please email the BizAbility mailbox.
Those organisations that do not have a website and would like one created under the BizAbility project should forward the information immediately to the BizAbility mailbox.
BizAbility – Promotional Opportunities for Business Services
Attention all business services. The ‘Specials’ link on the BizAbility web site is set-up to advertise any specially priced products and services offered by business services throughout the year. The upcoming festive season provides an opportune time to introduce this to business, government and the general public. We invite business services to submit any products or services, specially priced for the Christmas season, together with your trading name, email address and contact details to the BizAbility mailbox.
BizAbility – Looking Forward
Additional eCommerce functionality will be introduced in 2006, to make it easy for business and government purchasers to do their ‘shopping’ and conduct their transactions with business services online at the BizAbility website.
Check future e-news for further updates about BizAbility.

Previously, when you completed a DMI assessment or reassessment you had the ability to record whether there is an evidence source to support your assessment of the support needs of the client. The evidence source questions were on each single domain of the DMI (Cognitive, Vocational and Physical). As part of the November upgrade we have added a new evidence source domain which provides a free text field which you can record the type of evidence, the date of the evidence and where the evidence is located. For example, 'Doctors Report, 16 August 2005, client file cf/2005/54'.
The old evidence questions will remain on each domain until we have the opportunity to convert DMI assessments and reassessment completed in the old format over into the new format.

It is important that you regularly log on to FOFMS. You need to regularly access FOFMS to monitor your case list and payments, create new clients, complete and authorise assessments, monitor DMI assessment and reassessment dates and check for any FaCS-generated activities for you to action. It is recommended that you log-on to FOFMS at least every fortnight.
It is your organisation's responsibility to advise FaCS if an employee has left your organisation or no longer requires access to FOFMS.. The integrity of your data relies on you advising FaCS if an employee no longer requires access to FOFMS. Requests to suspend or cancel a user's log-on must be emailed to the FOFMS Helpdesk.
